Zaripov Rustam Oktyabristovich

   In 1981 graduated the Geological Prospecting faculty of Tyumen Industrial Institute.

   In 1981-2000 worked in Yamalo-Nenets Geophysical Trust (further changed to PGO, Yamalgeofizika JSC), PGO Purneftegazgeologia, SINCO JSC (further changed to SibNAC), Purnefteotdacha JSC in the positions of a Geophysicist, Head of a Department, Chief Geophysicist, and Chief Geologist. Author & executive in charge of production reports on subsoil investigations. The first 4 years of his carrier worked in field seismic crews of Purovskaya geophysical expedition.

   Since 2000 worked in a limited liability company “Purgeofizika”; in 2001 was appointed the Company Director, at that staying an active data interpreter.

   Rustam Oktyabristovich developed a method of near-surface velocity heterogeneity correction by way of anomalies’ separation through filtering. This method is based on knowledge and use of the geological peculiarities in the upper part of a section while evaluating a mean- & long-period components of statics, which allow to reduce distortions brought into reflection-wave registration times by the heterogeneous permafrost strata and other anomaly-forming features.

   Application of this method considerably enhanced the efficiency of exploration drilling.

   After drilling of the wells in the recommended locations, the following fields were discovered: Sterkhovoe gas condensate field (1999), Yuzhno-Tarasovskoe oil & gas field (2000), Severo-Khancheiskoe gas condensate field (2007), Zapadno-Chaselskoe gas field (2009) & new deposits at known fields were found.

   A non-standard innovative approach to solving of a problem pertaining to velocity heterogeneities at the land-sea interface and heterogeneities conditioned by gas-deposit effects allowed R.O. Zaripov to predict a considerable increase in a size & reserve volume of Yurkharovskoe gas condensate field in 2002; it was successfully proved by further drilling and made this field one of the largest in the northern area of West Siberia.

• Has the experience of geological/geophysical interpretation in West Siberian petroleum province (Chernichnoe, Severo-Komsomolskoe, Zapadno-Tarkosalinskoe, Vostochno-Tarkosalinskoe, Meretayzkhinskoe, Festivalnoe, Kharampurskoe, Yuzhno-Kharampurskoe, Yuzhno-Tarasovskoe, Yurkharovskoe, Yuzhno-Tambeiskoe, Geofizicheskoe, Vyngapurovskoe, Yuzhnoe and other fields); regional works for investigation of a central part of Pur area (territory of Rosneft-Purneftegaz JSC) with the purpose to build composite structural maps and search for missed targets.
• Experienced in geological/geophysical interpretation in Volga-Ural province (areas of Yuzhno-Tatar dome, a territory of Bashkiria).
• Interpretation of regional lines at the territory of Iraq (Western Desert).
• Established a Seismic Data Interpretation Service in SibNAC JSC, Purnefteotdacha JSC & Purgeofizika LLC.
